Ill-prepared clubs must be punished

LAST week, I made the trip to the Terence McMillan Stadium to watch Clapton v Benfleet in the Eastern Counties League South Division game, only to discover the game had been postponed due to no lines being marked out on the pitch.
Surely in this long build up to the new season, those at Clapton
FC had enough time to prepare the ground to get the game on?
Now I understand Benfleet’s next fixture against Southend Manor, has also been called off for the exact same reason!
The league should hold an enquiry. What a shambles!
