Volunteering has so many rewards

A YEAR ago I moved house and felt the urge to go and support my local Non League team, Marine AFC, having been disillusioned with the glitz and glamour of the top-flight.
Skip forward 12 months and somehow I’ve ended up on the team bus having volunteered to become part of the media matchday crew.
The seven-hour round trip from Crosby to Gainsborough, experiencing traffic delays, an impressive three-point turn on a residential street, torrential rain, wind and sunshine.
