CONGRATULATIONS to Lakenheath FC on winning the first FA Cup game in their history (NLP, August 12). Both the initial extra preliminary round tie with Godmanchester Rovers and last Friday night’s replay were exhilarating to say the least. With the final goals coming late from Tom Thurlborn and Luke Young, you couldn’t ask for a better way to finish the game – completing a thrilling 5-3 scoreline.
