ROONEY RETURN

CLASS ACT: John Rooney

MACCLESFIELD FC have made a huge show in intent by re-signing attacking midfielder John Rooney from Oldham Athletic.
Rooney, brother of Wayne, has just under 500 career appearances under his belt with over 300 of those at National League level, winning the title with Barrow in 2020. 
The 32-year-old started his career with the Silkmen – joining the club’s academy back in 2002 – before heading Stateside to turn out briefly for Orlando City and New York Red Bulls.
