MILLINGTON: REF TOO HASTY TO SHOW RED

FC HALIFAX Town boss Chris Millington reckons referee Paul Marsden over-reacted when sending off Luke Summerfield in bizarre fashion against Southend United last Saturday.
Summerfield was dismissed after appearing to brush the face of Marsden after he had been accidentally struck by the official during a coming together on the edge of the penalty area.
Halifax won an appeal against the sending off on Wednesday, thus overturning a three-game ban for the midfielder.
But Millington says such over-reactions by referees are harmful to the game.
