Not all clubs have luxury of a facility

I REFER to the excellent article by Tom Cooper, Managing Director of Sports Ground Development (NLP, Jan 14).
In my experience as a club vice-chairman, the Football Foundation and Premier League Stadium Fund make very generous grants towards clubs at Step 6 as well as those at higher levels. My club, Hoddesdon Town, has been fortunate to benefit from many grants towards our facilities.
I agree with all Tom’s comments but there are several clubs at Step 6 who groundshare so do not have to pay for the infrastructure to play their football.
