Water nightmare – all over again!

THIS was the view of Buckingham FC’s pitch earlier this week – sadly, an all too familiar picture.
It is the second time in a couple of weeks – and the third time this season – that our ground has been submerged by water after the River Ouse broke its banks next to our ground.
We play in the Spartan South Midlands League at Step 6 where, as most clubs will vouch at our level, the work of volunteers is absolutely vital.
We’ve already had three games called off this week – and we have more rain predicted for later in the week.
