WHILE Prescot Cables’ jubilant players celebrated being promoted after prevailing in a play-off final, their manager stood back and watched.
From Ste Daley’s spot in the home dressing room, by the entry to the showers, the scale of his side’s achievement started to sink in.
“Somebody said to me I had the biggest smile on my face,” he told The NLP.
“That’s the moment that gave me the most joy if I’m honest – seeing what it meant to everybody else.”
