CHAIRMAN Peter Griffin has insisted Maidenhead United won’t become a soft touch after landing a huge £4m windfall.
The Magpies hit the jackpot last week when their former defender Max Kilman, below, moved from Wolves to West Ham for £40m. A ten per cent sell-on fee from the 27-year-old’s transfer has suddenly made the National League club a whole lot richer – and may encourage rivals to bump up prices for players the Berkshire club want.
