ST ALBANS City’s pre-season preparation under returning manager David Noble continued with a battling defeat against a young Tottenham Hotspur XI.
The hosts started the brighter of the two sides as Josh Castiglione sent a header over the bar at the far post from Jack James’ delivery.
Tottenham responded and Yago Santiago attacked down the left before sending the ball into the path of Damola Ajayi, who found the far corner of the net with a perfectly placed effort to give the visitors the lead.
