TAVISTOCK beat ten-man Horndean in an entertaining FA Trophy tie.
After 33 minutes, Tallan Burns’ free-kick picked out Ben Steer, whose knockdown to Luke Steer was rifled off the bar and in.
Four minutes later, Freddie Chester was dismissed for using his elbow in a challenge. Horndean equalised spectacularly in first half stoppage time.
Jordan Pile, a long-way out, smashed a drive past Aaron Dearing giving the goalkeeper no chance.
Dean started the second half well but failed to convert some good openings.
