Bircham won’t allow soaring Eagles to drift

REALISTIC Lee Bircham insists Bedford Town cannot afford to get carried away by a flying return to Step 3 – quite literally.
Promoted to Southern League Premier Division Central through the play-offs last season, the Eagles took the league by surprise by topping the early standings in mid-October.
While that barnstorming pace may have dropped a little in recent weeks, Bircham’s boys remain in the thick of a cluster of sides within range of the play-offs.
