YORK RACE CASE OVER

NORTH YORKSHIRE Police have confirmed their investigation into allegations of a racist incident that saw York City’s pre-season friendly with Salford City has found no evidence.
The match on Friday, July 11 was abandoned in the 85th minute and a 23-year-old man later arrested.
At the time, the National League Minstermen vowed to dish out the strongest possible sanctions to anyone found guilty.
But police chiefs say “there is no evidence to corroborate the report which was made”.
