Interim managers tend to be given pretty modest remits but not Coventry United’s Jamie Burkacki – he has been tasked with reaching Wembley.
Football advisor Burkacki was placed in charge of the Red and Greens after the surprise sacking of Ellis Alleyne in August and expects to remain in post “for the foreseeable” having overseen similar results but greater solidity.
They went into the weekend on the back of four clean sheets in five games with the exception being a 4-3 FA Vase win against Harrowby United – a match Burkacki’s men trailed 2-0 and 3-1 in.
