Sam Youngs isn’t known as ‘Mr Enfield Town’ for nothing having been a pivotal part of their rise to Step 2 – but for the goalscoring midfielder it’s all about enjoying football at the perfect club.
The 34-year-old captured another slice of Towners’ history last weekend when he played his 352nd game for the National League South outfit to become their all-time record appearance holder.
Youngs turned down more lucrative offers to join back in 2017 under then-manager Andy Leese and nobody has looked back since.
