Whitley Bay’s Layton Campbell has joined Middlesbrough

Teenage hotshot Layton Campbell has made the jump from Step 5 to the Championship after signing professional forms with Middlesbrough.
The 19-year-old has been rewarded for scoring 15 goals in 16 games for Northern League Division One high-fliers Whitley Bay this season.
He was offered a trial at Rockliffe and turned out for Boro in their National League Cup tie at Scunthorpe United last week.
