TUCHEL CAN LOOK TO WEST AS FIRST WINNERS

IF Thomas Tuchel and England need any motivation ahead of their World Cup mission in the Americas next summer then they need only look to West Auckland Town.
The Northern League club are, officially, the first ever World Cup champions after winning the inaugural international competition organised many years before the Jules Rimet Trophy and Uruguay 1930.
The tournament was the brainchild of philanthropist Sir Thomas Lipton, who was awarded the Grand Order of the Crown of Italy.
Held in Turin, Italy, it was devised of teams from the host country, Germany, Switzerland...
