CARDIFF MET proved lightning can strike twice as they followed up their JD Cymru Premier win over champions The New Saints with a 2-1 triumph over the same side to knock them out of the JD Welsh Cup.
TNS ended up with a clean sweep of all three major titles last season, but have now lost their grip on the Cup at round 3.
