HUGHES NETS NEW DEAL

NORTHERN League promotion chasers Shildon AFC have placed manager Chris Hughes on a new three-and-a-half-year contract which will keep him at Dent Street until the end of the 2028/29 season.
The remainder of his management team, Craig Hughes, David Pounder and David Howe, will also stay in their positions.
Hughes, who led the club to success in the Durham Challenge Cup last season, said: “The club is on a clear, positive trajectory with its infrastructure, facilities, and ethos.
