A PENALTY shootout determined the outcome at Rossett Park as Marine saw off plucky Step 3 side Gloucester City.
The first half was one of little chances as both defences survived the early stages with neither goalkeeper forced-into action.
But after a flurry of half chances at both ends, it was the visitors who took the lead in the 27th minute.
For the first time in the game, the National League North hosts were caught sleeping and with the second time of asking, Sion Spence was able to fire home from close range.
