DOWNTON went through thanks to a comprehensive win over Lymore Gardens.
It was an entertaining game at The Nest. The opening 15 minutes of the match were cagey with both sides trying to impose themselves on the match.
Lymore had the better of the chances in the opening half an hour of the match with Lymore’s number 10 shooting from the edge of the box, a shot that look destined for the top corner but it narrowly went over the bar.
