NO-GO REMOTE CALL HAS TOWNERS FUMING

ENFIELD TOWN are counting the cost of a third home Saturday postponement of the season in highly controversial circumstances.
Yesterday’s National League South game against Dover Athletic was called off despite a rare sunny window. Crucially, the pitch had been passed fit by a local Step 2 referee who conducted a precautionary early inspection before passing his findings to the match referee.
It is understood the ultimate decision was then taken based on photographic and video evidence without the match ref visiting the club to check in person.
