BROWN HEADS UPSTAIRS TO LEAD SPORTS

FORMER Premier League manager Phil Brown insists moving upstairs from the Peter borough Sports dugout to a director of football role was solely his suggestion.
The National League North strugglers have chanced their arm in a bid to avoid relegation by announcing the return of Brown’s predecessor, Michael Gash, as his re placement.
Brown, the former Der by, Hull and Bolton man ager, was appointed as Turbines boss in Septem ber but last Saturday’s 3-0 defeat by his hometown club South Shields was their seventh match with out a win.
