The Easter weekend is always a pivotal one in the National League as sides have two bites of the cherry to pick up some valuable points.
On Friday, there is a full schedule of fixtures, and attention turns to the title race and relegation fight as the season draws to a close.
Rochdale enter the weekend as league leaders and will be riding high after Ian Henderson’s 97th-minute strike clinched all three points against Sutton United last weekend.
At the other end of the table, Truro City can be relegated this Friday if they fail to beat Yeovil Town and Eastleigh claim all three points against Woking.
Every match is available to watch live on DAZN, as we take a closer look at what is on offer.

Boston United vs York City
Kick off at 3pm GMT on Friday, April 3rd 2026 (Live on DAZN)
York City travel to Boston United on Easter Friday, and only a win will do as they strive to keep pace with Rochdale at the top of the National League table.
The Minstermen dug in to defeat Woking 1-0 last weekend and were on course to catch the Dale only for Jimmy McNulty’s side to salvage a late, late win at Sutton United.
Stuart Maynard’s side are three points adrift of the league leaders, who they face on the final day of the season.
As for Boston, they are safely in mid-table with nothing to pay for, but would love to deliver a statement victory over the title challengers on home soil.
The Pilgrims have not been in action for some time, but salvaged a 2-2 draw with Altrincham in their last outing courtesy of a stoppage-time Tom Cursons goal.

Carlisle United vs Gateshead
Kick off at 3pm GMT on Friday, April 3rd 2026 (Live on DAZN)
Two of the division’s form sides meet at Brunton Park on Friday afternoon as promotion contenders Carlisle United welcome survival hopefuls Gateshead.
The Cumbrians are in the driving seat to clinch third place, which would ensure they avoid a play-off eliminator at the end of April, and can take another significant step with victory over the Heed.
Mark Hughes’ men left it late to down relegation-threatened Braintree Town last weekend, with Cameron Harper’s 89th-minute goal clinching maximum points.
One of the stories of the season involves Gateshead, who now seem odds on to avoid the drop despite looking like relegation certainties for the majority of the campaign.
Rob Elliot’s side held on to beat Yeovil 2-1 on Saturday afternoon, and they now have a five-point cushion on the bottom four.
Forest Green Rovers vs Brackley Town
Kick off at 3pm GMT on Friday, April 3rd 2026 (Live on DAZN)
Another crunch clash involving teams at either end of the table grips the National League as play-off-chasing Forest Green Rovers host lowly Brackley Town.
Robbie Savage’s side are just a couple of wins away from clinching a place in the top seven and will be expected to take all three points on Friday afternoon.
The Green recovered a two-goal deficit to down Eastleigh 4-2 last weekend, with a Kyle McAllister brace guiding them to victory.
As for Brackley, their woeful run of form has left them staring down the barrel of relegation and not even a win will take them out of the drop zone.
The Saints were defeated by mid-table outfit Tamworth on Saturday and are now four points adrift of safety, while they are winless in their last 11.
Rochdale vs Morecambe
Kick off at 3pm GMT on Friday, April 3rd 2026 (Live on DAZN)
A clash that will have significant implications on the National League title race and the relegation battle takes centre stage as league leaders Rochdale host struggling Morecambe.
McNulty’s men appeared destined to suffer an untimely defeat to Sutton last weekend, only for two late goals from Devante Rodney and Henderson to send Dale supporters into bedlam.
With York also claiming victory, it means that Rochdale have a three-point lead over the Minstermen, while the latter have a far superior goal difference.
As for Morecambe, they were on the wrong end of two late goals as Kwame Thomas and Ryan Hill netted late to lead Aldershot Town to a 2-0 win at the Mazuma Mobile Stadium.
The Shrimps are now eight points adrift of safety, and with just five games left to play, only a win will do against the best side in the division.

Scunthorpe United vs Hartlepool United
Kick off at 3pm GMT on Friday, April 3rd 2026 (Live on DAZN)
Two teams eyeing promotion from the National League collide on Easter Friday as Scunthorpe United host Hartlepool United.
The Iron are guaranteed a play-off spot and will do their utmost to catch Carlisle in third, but realistically, they will head into a play-off eliminator at the end of April.
Andy Butler’s side dented FC Halifax Town’s promotion hopes last weekend in a 2-1 win, with Declan Howe returning from his Altrincham loan to clinch the winner.
As for Hartlepool, they are well in the race for the play-offs, but must rely on Southend United to falter if they are to overtake them.
Southend United vs Braintree Town
Kick off at 3pm GMT on Friday, April 3rd 2026 (Live on DAZN)
Southend will be aiming to strengthen their play-off credentials when they host relegation-threatened Braintree Town in an all-Essex National League affair.
The Shrimpers are in the driving seat to secure seventh spot, which would put them through to a play-off eliminator at the end of April, but face stiff competition from Halifax and Hartlepool.
As for Braintree, it is not quite the last chance saloon, but if they fail to take anything from this encounter, then relegation will be on the horizon.
The Iron fell to a late defeat to Carlisle last weekend and are now seven points adrift of safety with just five games left to play.
