Mark Harris says resigning is the “right thing to do” after sending the email that ultimately ended his 17-year reign as Northern Premier League chair – but he believes he still has plenty to offer Non-League football.

Mark Harris says resigning is the “right thing to do” after sending the email that ultimately ended his 17-year reign as Northern Premier League chair – but he believes he still has plenty to offer Non-League football.
The long-serving NPL chief will not return to the position he had to vacate in April while a disciplinary process took place.
Harris has also stepped down as an FA councillor and, subsequently, his role on the FA Pyramid Board.
