REDBRIDGE were good value for their victory over fellow Essex-Leaguers Stansted at sunny Oakside.
Both teams failed to take a number of chances in the first half until Redbridge’s Lindispho Mtyanda was sent clean through and slipped the ball into the net in the 35th minute.
Stansted were back on terms within two minutes when Reggie Yembra powered in a diving header from close range. However, on the stroke of half-time, the hosts regained the lead, Calvin Poku finishing from close range after a through ball from Malaki Toussaint eluded everyone.
