DESPITE dominating possession and creating the lions’ share of chances, Stalybridge slipped out of the cup against Chorley.
The visitors were gifted their first goal on 24 minutes after a horrendous lack of self-awareness from Joe Slimm as he rolled his attempted clearance directly into the path of the Marcus Carver who slotted home.
Josh Wilson made it two on 50 minutes when he headed home a tantilising Nick Haughton free kick from five yards out.
