FAKENHAM Town were left to reflect on a squandered opportunity which cost them dear against Thetford Town.
The Ghosts, who apply their trade one division below Thetford in the Eastern Counties League, held their own for large periods, but suffered a killer blow in first half stoppage time.
With 46 minutes on the clock, Fakenham produced the first real chance of this tie but Ryan Curtis could only direct his one-on-one shot straight into the hands of home goalkeeper Will Viner.
