■ MELKSHAM ran out narrow winners in an incident- packed game between two unbeaten sides.
The game exploded into life on 44 minutes when the hosts were awarded a disputed penalty and Blackfield’s Lerone Plummer was red carded for something he said to the referee.
However, Gary Higdon saw his spot-kick saved by visiting keeper Lewis Noice.
Town largely failed to capitalise on the extra man but were awarded a second penalty for handball on 89 minutes and this time veteran centre-back Lee Davidson knocked the ball home.
