DEBUTANT Egham Town manager Ashley Smith wrote his name into Sarnies’ folklore as he guided his new troops past Staines Town in a closely-fought local derby and gained a place in the next round.
The home side had the better of a goalless first half.
The Swans dominated early second-half play and Xavi Comas had to make some excellent saves.
Egham rode their luck at times but sealed the win as former Staines man Kezie Ibe, muscled past Robby Lobonza before rolling the ball linto the net past Louis Dixon.
