PHIL Parkinson’s Altrincham breezed into the third qualifying round of the FA Cup with a thumping win against Whitley Bay.
The hosts dominated from start to finish and should have been in front early on after good work from Jordan Hulme down the right allowed him space to square for Josh Hancock to tap in, but the winger scuffed his shot.
But the Robins did open the scoring in the 28th minute as Jake Moult’s lovely through ball released Hulme, who confidently tapped into the corner.
