RESPECT: Dave Andrews

AFTER a respected career spanning over 60 years in football, Dave Andrews will be sorely missed in his east London homeland.
Dave, who was chairman of Dagenham & Redbridge following the merger which created it in 1993, died on November 2 at the age of 79.
After an illustrious playing career with Walthamstow Avenue and Leytonstone, Dave became player-manager of Leytonstone and then the club’s chairman in 1976, at the age of 37.
