Spireities took us back to dark era

I WAS disgusted and appalled by the behaviour of a minority of Chesterfield supporters last Saturday.
I understand that Will Evans’ injury-time equaliser against Ebbsfleet may have been a rare highlight in an otherwise frustrating season but the reaction of a number of supporters to the goal was completely unacceptable.
The reported abuse directed towards Ebbsfleet goalkeeper Nathan Ashmore harks back to the dark days of football and is something that must be immediately stamped out.
