Did you catch The Gaffer on BT Sport on Wednesday night? The access all areas documentary, which followed five National League managers, was a fascinating insight into the lives and minds of managers of clubs in Non-League’s top tier. We saw Simon Weaver, the Harrogate Town manager, in board meetings and fielding calls from agents, while scores of school children enjoy kicking a ball around on the 4G pitch at Wetherby Road.
