DOVER substitute Anthony Jeffrey broke Weymouth hearts with a late winner as the hosts’ long wait for an FA Cup first round appearance goes on.
A tight first half began with fit-again Josh Mc- Quoid denied a 90-second opener for Weymouth by the crossbar from a delightful attempted lob.
Calvin Brooks then fired narrowly wide and Ben Thomson was blocked out at the near post by debutant keeper Yusuf Mersin in a bright opening spell from the hosts.
In reply, Bobby-Joe Taylor curled a free-kick just high and wide while Inih Effiong fired just off...
