FORMER Wales international and Premier League midfielder Robbie Savage has made his playing comeback at the age of 45 – for North West Counties Division One South outfit Stockport Town.
Savage, now a top BBC pundit, made his Step 6 debut by coming on as substitute in Monday’s 3-2 home win over leaders FC Oswestry Town.
He said: “I’m involved in The Pro Football Academy and it’s acquired Stockport Town FC, which is basically an opportunity for our 16 and 18-year-olds who are doing a Stockport College course.
