THIS year’s FA Cup has shown the gap is continuing to get smaller between Non-League and Football League sides.
There is still a way to go but the games are a lot closer and the fitness levels of Non-League sides are much higher nowadays, plus the pitches are better although that does suit higher-league teams.
I’ve been at several ties featuring Non-League clubs this season and being a Sussex boy it was great to see Chichester City get to the second round.
