KEEPER Adam Smith saved the crucial spotkick as Yeovil Town edged past Dover Athletic 7-6 on penalties after a six-goal thriller at Huish Park.
Rhys Murphy gave Yeovil the lead inside ten minutes, cutting in from right to fire a left-footed shot past Dover debutant goalkeeper Tom Smith.
Josh Staunton headed against the post as the Glovers continued to control proceedings before Murphy doubled the home side’s lead on the half-hour mark, pouncing from closerange after loanee Tom Smith misjudged a corner.
