DAN TURNER’S penalty gave ten-man Leamington a late Cup lifeline in this typically incident-packed tie between these two sides.
Brakes led on three minutes, Jack Edwards winning a free-kick which Stephan Morley curled delightfully beyond the outstretched hand of Kettering keeper Rhys Davies from 20 yards.
Edwards then received a needless booking for his involvement in some shoving on the touchline which he would go on to regret.
The Poppies were level on 25 minutes when Claudio Ofosu crashed home from close range following a corner.
