YORK City remain unbeaten in their new home in the Cup after two first half Clayton Donaldson goals killed off Whitby Town.
York took a 17th-minute lead in this Yorkshire derby.
Former Seasider Mackenzie Heaney fired a thunderbolt from distance which was parried into the path of top marksman Donaldson who tapped in from close range.
Donaldson doubled York’s advantage with his eighth goal of the season after Michael Woods did the leg work down the left before setting up the 37-year-old.
