CLITHEROE finally got their noses in front in a frantic derby, but it was Colne who had the majority of possession for the first hour.
Early on, ex-Clitheroe player Owen Watkinson almost scored after Cameron Lancaster was dispossessed, while Clitheroe’s Sefton Gonzales was a constant thorn in Colne’s side.
As the first half ticked down, it was Clitheroe’s Lancaster who slid in to dispossess the dangerous Watkinson as he looked to shoot.
