HEMEL Hempstead eased through but the final scoreline was a tad harsh on Royston who contributed to an entertaining game with both keepers making saves at crucial times.
Ex-Royston player Josh Castiglione had a superb first 45 minutes for Hemel. He created the opening goal on 28 minutes when he danced into the box evading several tackles before laying the ball across to Ogo Obi who slotted it into the corner.
The Crows pressed forward as the half came to a close and created a couple of decent chances themselves.
