EASTBOURNE United pulled off a perfect smash-and-grab raid on Phoenix Sports at their Bexleyheath home to progress to the next round of the famous competition.
The hosts started well and went close through Andy Pugh and Isaac Thompson, but it was visiting Eastbourne that took the lead in the 20th minute, when Callum Barlow reacted quickest to George Olulode’s parried effort to stab the ball home.
Sam Cole tested his luck just before the break, but the Phoenix stopper easily gathered his effort.
