WHICKHAM won this entertaining all-Northern League affair in the Tyneside rain, edging through against Carlisle City. The Lang Jacks led at the break through Josh Simpson’s own goal, but did not make the game safe until two minutes from time through substitute Tom Romano. Carlisle then pulled a goal back, but were left with no time to force an equaliser.
