■ PROLONGED periods of desperate Boldmere defence kept the Scholars from scoring after Jamie Spiers had escaped his marker inside the box to put the Mikes ahead in the 28th minute.
Two fine saves by Mikes’ keeper Daniel Moore, an open goal missed after the hour, and long range efforts over the bar, conspired to give the hosts a clean sheet.
Man-of-the-match Jayden Campbell’s dribbling skills posed plenty of problems, but excellent covering kept Chasetown at bay.
