MALDON & TIP 0 WEST ESSEX 0

MALDON & TIPTREE survived a rocky road against West Essex thanks in no small part to the Jammers’ goalkeeper Tom Middlehurst.
Apart from an early penalty shout for Maldon, the away side had the better of the opening exchanges and Theo Jones had a goal ruled out for offside after seven minutes.
The first signs of life from Maldon came after half an hour. A West Essex freekick from Reece Clark was saved by Middlehurst for a corner. That came to nothing as Maldon intercepted and Alex Clark ran the length of the pitch, drawing a fine save from Michael Corderoy.
