BRADFORD scored a goal in each half to progress, but Consett pushed them all the way.
The Steelmen had a good chance after 24 minutes when a corner from the right found centre-back Dan Capewell, but Bradford keeper George Sykes-Kenworthy saved at point-blank range.
A minute later the visitors were ahead when Will Calligan’s pass found Brad Dockerty, whose shot beat keeper James Anderson.
