LEISTON 2 ST IVES TOWN 1

■LEISTON ran out narrow winners over St Ives Town in a close encounter.
Ross Crane had Leiston’s first chance, with keeper Eddie Brearey pushing the ball round a post.
The hosts took the lead after 25 minutes when Kieran Higgs was tripped in the box and Joe Marsden stepped up to strike into a bottom corner.
Three minutes later, Crane finished well, wrong-footing Brearey after an excellent ball from Ryan Jarvis.
St Ives, however, dug in and after the interval, Greg Kaziboni reduced the deficit, and the away side also went close from captain Michael Rich...
