TOMMIE HOBAN was the Hornchurch saviour late on, heading home a brilliant George Saunders cross in second-half stoppage time to secure an unlikely comeback away at Aveley.
It means a replay beckons at Bridge Avenue this coming Tuesday night, between local sides jostling for a place in the fourth round of this sea-FA Cup qualifying.
This was a game of two halves, Aveley dominating possession and the better first-half chances before the opposite unfolded after the restart.
