LYDD BOSSES QUIT

LYDD Town’s management team quit days before the new season.
The Southern Counties East Premier club “reluctantly accepted” the resignation of Scott Porter, who left Hollands & Blair in January to take over the Lydders.
Porter, who led the side to a 10th-place finish in his 18 games in charge, left the Lindsey Field along with Mark Lane, Shaun Welford and former Hawkinge manager Michael Sheridan.
Ryan Smith and Ronnie Dolan have been placed in interim charge. A Lydd statement said: “This came as quite a shock to us, with the season only days away.
